Sharepoint:\ directory keeps failing on backup

I tried to create a directive to skip the directory but it does not seem to be working. my directive looks like this: <<"Sharepoint:\">> +skip

is that correct or do i need to do something else?

That's incorrect - you need to define folder which you wish to skip.

    The error message shows:

    1 retry attempted
save: VSS Snapshot is disabled for SHAREPOINT:\ and will not be used.save: using `SHAREPOINT:\' for `SHAREPOINT:\'
save: RAP error: The feature "SharePoint Portal Server for Windows" is not properly enabled.
save: Cannot open save session with

save set only shows it as Sharepoint:\

I'm lost... do you want to backup Sharepoint or to skip it? If you don't want to have it backed up, remove it from saveset list or, as said above, use the directory (C:\blablabla) in your directive.

If you want to backup Sharepoint, is it correctly configured?

Saveset was set to ALL. everything backups but it errors on Sharepoint:\ , looking at the directories there is no folder that says Sharepoint. So i am not sure why this is happening. I am going to try changing saveset to C:\ and see what happens.

Sharepoint in this case is not a folder, but special saveset which gets picked up when you use All. I think you need license for that and that could be reason why it is failing. To get rid of that (including that saveset) define all savesets resolved by All and exclude SHAREPOINT from the ssid list.
