Does network traffic stop when Management Mode button pressed on 2700 switch?

I read in a review that you must press the " management mode" button on the switch and the switch will reset into a management mode setting. My question is, does the switch become unusable for network traffic while in this management mode? Do you have to them reset it in a non-management mode so network traffic can resume or does management mode not effect the network traffic? I reason I ask is because I have a mission critical business and I can't have my network die when I need to change a setting in the switch. Thanks for your help.

Managed mode isn't like logging into Windows as Administrator where you have to log out afterwards. If you enable managed mode, the switch then enables the web managament page. Then you leave it in managed mode, so that you have access to these functions. This allows you to change port aggregation, vlan information, view rmon statistics, and other options.

When you do change it to Managed mode, it does stop network traffic for about 1 minute as it switches over and resets. But you only have to do it once.

If you have more than one 27xx, you need to be aware that the default IP address(192.168.2.1) is the same on all switches.  So you should change the IP addresses to unique ones as you put more than one in managed mode into to your network.
