Tried to install a program that ended up causing Vista to BSOD.  Restarting repeated the BSOD.  I didn't have a restore point, so I tried applying a fresh coat of Vista.  I had turned off Bluetooth before I did and now I can't get it back.

 

The driver program asks me to hit Fn+F2 (the hotkey) to toggle the WiFi card on during setup.  When I do so, the "WiFi" indicator toggles, but the program doesn't detect the Bluetooth module.  I've tried this  ~25 times with every driver I can find on your site (the first 10 or so was with the latest 355 driver program).

 

I checked BIOS, I have both, the WiFi, and the BT enabled with the hotkey controlling both.  I have tried setting it to only having BT enabled and only having the hot keys controlling BT, but no help.

 

While in Windows, when I hit the hotkey, a new device appears under HID in the device manager.  Vista automatically labels this device as a "HID-compliant consumer control device", however I don't seem to have any control over the device.  The BT icon doesn't show up in the classic view of the control panel, the BT indicator remains off, and the Dell Quick set does not show anything about BT in it.

I've tried manually installing the drivers through the device manager, but it comes up broken calling "Code 10,  device cannot start."

I have tried drivers R127314 and R140135 as well as many of the 350 module drivers.

as well as other Dell forums, however it doesn't seem to help.

 

I'm at nerve's end at this point.  What am I missing?  I'll give it a week, but I'm about to

 call the module bad.  Reading back over what I have already typed, it almost makes me think the firmware is bad.
