that would be quite a problem installing  drivers on 17 computers...you are working as an adminstrator, and sort of above my knowledge base....seems to me that one way to tackle the problem is with networking operating system, that would allow better control over the network... i know of remote assistance, but what i have read about it is control over  another computer..... maybe someone here can give you some better advice

Thanks for responding, I actually have the automated system in place, we are going to be using a standard answer file combined with some application management tools. I just need to find an easy way to get the Dell drivers for all 17 models that we have (400 PC's or so) to put them in a central location. Setting it up is no problem, downloading and saving all of the Dell drivers we need for that many models is the problem I am having.

 

I am hoping for some type of driver package for each model that Dell has, rather then downloading all of the different drivers 1 by 1 and extracting them. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks all!

It may not have all OEM drivers but you should check out driverpacks.net  -- all they do is provide packs of drivers to slipsteam onto XP installation CDs.
