I have dell e6400 laptop and epson sx515W wifi printer and want them to talk to each other wirelessly.

So I am trying to set up wireless network:

control panel > network and sharing centre > set up a connection or network

select: set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to computer) network; next; next;

network name: aabbcc
security type: no authentication

next;

I see Dell Control point pop up, shows Radio on then after a couple of seconds Radio off

and see message in set up : windows cannot creat network aabbcc (or similar)

Any idea as to why?

I have turned the printer on which is on the floor less than 2 m away but it made no different when printer was off.
