Just in the middle of moving house and I can't find my Dell CD's and I need to know if my Inspiron 530 bought 4 years ago is wireless enabled for me to get Broadband.
I have just signed up for Sky Broadband and I'm not sure how to see if it can be connected wirelessly.
I'm not to good with computers[Pensioner!] so I would be very grateful if you can give me any help that can get me started on wireless Broadband although it's just the 530 that i need to know about!
The Inspiron 530/530s system integrates an Intel 82562V 10/100 Ethernet controller supporting speeds of 10/10 Mbps. You can purchase and add a USB or PCI wireless card to the system. You can check some of the options for USB wireless adaptors available on Dell.com from link: http://bit.ly/Wt9lQJ
For more details regarding installation of PCI card, you can check the link: http://dell.to/TyyBik
In order to check if the system was shipped with wireless card or not, I need to have the Service Tag of your computer. I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.
I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.
