Well I just tore it apart and there is no where for the cords for the ports to plug in to, The wireless works fine, And under the DW1450 for compatible computers the 8100 isnt listed, So Im thinking ill need to get a new network card? does this sound right?

Well, you said the wireless works fine, so despite not being on the list, the card must be compatible.  The compatibility lists are not usually all inclusive.  Sounds like your choice is to maintain your existing wireless capability, or switch it out for an Ethernet adapter or modem.  I did make one error; the docs refer to a combination modem/Ethernet adapter, so it must be possible to configure the computer to attach to a wired Ethernet or the telephone line with an appropriate card.  Unfortunately I am not familiar with all the various types so I am unable to advise you on this.

and secondly, is there a card for my labtop, that can have wireless, LAN and 56k? would I buy a new mini pci card or could i buy a pc card that has LAN and 56k? but if i bought the pc card I still would have any where to hook up my 2 cables running from the network / modem ports.
