I'm interested in a wireless network for our home and my son is concerned that I will sacrifice speed for mobility/convenience. Will it slow down the connection and downloading process?
An 802.11b wireless connection runs at 11 Mbps. An 802.11g wireless connection runs at 54 Mbps. The maximum cable or dsl connection runs at 0.8 to 2.0 Mbps depending on your service provider. As you can see both wireless speeds are much faster than the broadband speeds, so there is little to worry about.
