n5110 network controller driver not installing and internet not working
I have a Inspiron n5110 laptop and recently re-installed Windows 7.
After using the "Driver & Utilities" disc to update the drivers. I haven't been able to connect to the internet
I was able to retrieve my system information and got the following;
Network Card(s): 3 NIC(s) Installed.
[01]: Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
Connection Name: Bluetooth Network Connection
Status: Media disconnected
[02]: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
Connection Name: Local Area Connection
Status: Media disconnected
Can anyone help in terms of getting my PAN and Controller "connected"??
Dell support forum? This place is a joke I have the same problem as the original poster. I reformated my computer an Inspiron n5110 Win 7 64-bit and installed all the drivers but can not install the wireless driver. I have tried everything that has been suggested and made no progress what so ever. This will be the last dell I ever buy and would probly not take one if it where given to me.

The Dell System Software fr the Dell Inspiron 15R N5110, and the chipset drivers need installed first or the rest of the drivers will fail to install. These two items know what is attached to your model of computer. Usually the clue that the drivers were not installed in the correct order, many notice the wireless adapter missing or the webcam.

When you installed Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) did you install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first? If not the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order If you cannot find Windows 7 drivers, then try using the Vista (or XP) 32-bit drivers, for Windows 7 32-bit of the Vista (or XP) 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit and install the drivers in the Compatibility mode
