Networking problems. HELP!!!
I am currently trying to get my two computers onto a network. As it stands now, computer 1 sees computer 2 but computer 2 doesn't see computer 1. I am using a Dell TrueMobile 2300 router. I have disabled the Windows Firewall on both computers as well as uninstalling the firewall that came with Macafee security. I have the router because I am also running VOiP for my phone service. There must be a software issue because I was on the phone with a Dell Technician for over 2 HOURS and he couldn't find any hardware issues. So if the issue is software based then they charge $80 for their service. Does anyone out there have any advice for me regarding this issue?

You must run the Wizard that sets up your home network on BOTH the systems, not just one.
The name of the computer must be unique (such as PC1, PC2) but the name of the 'Workgroup' must be the same. I would not leave the name MSHOME or WORKGROUP but rather change the workgroup name to something else, like BrownHousehold
You may also need to make sure that both PCs allow File and Print Sharing (for starters)
