networking problems

Hi all, I have an Inspiron 9100 and recently had to reinstall windows to fix something.  After reinstalling, I installed all the drivers (at least, I used every single CD Dell sent me to do so), but my computer isn't recognizing my LAN cable.  It is definitely a "live" cable, but my computer insists there's no internet access.  I've searched around and apparently I don't have the appropriate driver.  My questions are:

1. How do I figure out which driver is appropriate for my computer?  Where can I get it?  Relatedly, I have two wireless cards in my computer and they don't have drivers either.  How do I know which drivers to get for them?

2.  Where can I get a full list of drivers for all my devices?  If Dell forgot to send me my network driver on CD, maybe they forgot some others as well.  For instance, my screen (even after installing the drivers Dell sent me) looks quite low-grade - much worse than before I installed windows.

Any ideas?  Thanks!

did you install the intel chipset driver?
you can d/load all the drivers for your system from http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn

Alright, thanks, that worked quite well.  I have another question, though.  After installing the display driver the screen resolution became extremely high (1920x1200).  The icons on my desktop are literally the size of dimes.  When I adjust the resolution in the display window (control panel) the screen either doesn't fit the full 17" monitor or (for some of the resolution sizes) it gets skewed/stretched.  Is it possible I installed the wrong driver?

sounds like the correct driver but an incorrect lcd screen resolution choice when you bought the laptop.
you can try setting the display dpi to large size under display properties> settings>advanced>general>display
