Wireless card for Inspiron 8000?

My brother is running Windows ME on his Inspiron 8000 laptop.

Is it possibloe to install a wireless card in this system?

Hi,

Yes, there are at least 2 choices. You can use a PCMCIA card, or if you dont have a miniPCI modem or net, use the built in socket. You will also need a short cable to do so.

Thanks, Chris. I'll probably opt for the PCMCIA card--I wouldn't need any cable for that, correct?

Hi,

No you wont need a cable. It will stick out a bit, but will fit many other computers.
