Wireless help

Hey all,

My dad has a Dimension 4600 which i formatted this afernoon. I had the dell resourcecd which I used to install all the drivers.

He has a wireless card setup, and after I installed the network drivers off the cd (which i don't think are compatible with his wireless card), nothing happened. I couldn't connect to the internet or the network, and now I have no idea what to do!

Anyone know of any solutions?! thanks

Since desktop computers from Dell don't ship with wireless cards, I doubt very much that there would have been drivers for the wireless card on the Dell CD.  The card must have been added later and it would have come with its own drivers CD.

This is true, you'll need a driver for the card.

Which will probably fix the issue, but you might want to try making sure he can get on the internet with just an LAN conenction before tackling the WAN.

You might have other problems after a Format besides a little WAN driver.
