There are no validated RDIMMs for the T140. It may be possible for the T140 to support RDIMMs, but we have not validated any at this time. Some of the processors supported on the T140 do not support buffered/registered memory. I suggest reviewing the specifications of the memory controller on the CPU, most Xeon CPUs support buffered memory.

What do you mislead people? and your employees advise this memory if an Intel® Xeon® E-2100 product family is installed. Why did I buy this memory 4 pieces?
The specific memory that you have mentioned is not supported with the server, however, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it works. Provided that the only difference in the DIMMs is clock speed, it should be alright. I looked at the documentation as well. This is what it had to say about speeds:
"4 x UDIMM DDR4 up to 2666 MHz."
Considering 2400 is less than 2666 and the support says *up to* 2666, this is another factor that would lead me to believe it will likely work. Still, with it being an unsupported configuration, I can't promise that.
I think I have the same problem as the OP here with a brand new T1440. I got some Micron PC4-2133P-RBP-10 memory where I was told by the supplier that the T140 will support, however I cannot get it working - "Memory population error"
Is this a case of the E-2224 not supporting it also?
On the face of it, it looks ok. I can't validate Micron memory.
Check the Memory specifications Page 9 : https://dell.to/2WaRWDL • Populate all the sockets with white release tabs first, followed by the black release tabs. You should populate slot in order A1, A2, A3,A4 • When mixing memory modules with different capacities, populate the sockets with memory modules with the highest capacity first. For example, if you want to mix 8 GB and 16 GB memory modules, populate 16 GB memory modules in the sockets with white release tabs and 8 GB memory modules in the sockets with black release tabs. • Mixing of more than two memory module capacities in a system is not supported.
Is there any other information with the Memory Population error?
You may try each DIMM one at a time in A1, if they all check out then start populating the slots in order and test.

Thanks Charles. I've reviewed the memory specification and I'm fairly certain that this memory should indeed work.
I have tried a number of different slot configurations trying to get things working but it always results in the memory population error as long as just one of these Micron memory chips are in the system.
Today I received some Kingston KTD-PE426E chips also, and these worked without any problems. I'm a little confused why the micron chips won't. Ideally I need the micron's to work.
The supplier told me they have sold hundreds of this specific micron memory chip to other businesses for Dell servers but they did say I'm the first with a T140 - they normally deal with much larger enterprise customers.
I checked on T140 component database, E-2224 seems to be supported by T140.
I also pulled T140 supported memory modules, the server does support Micron memory, eg: MTA18ASF4G72AZ. Though, T140 only supports unbuffered memories, UDIMM.
Could you check the memory that you have on Micron is unbuffered? I googled Kingston KTD-PE426E is a unbuffered memory.
