Initializing in Navisphere
We have a system that was attatched to the AX100DP and working properly. Recently it was decided to stop utilizing the SAN on that system so it was removed but, none of the software nor the HBA was removed. To make a long story short it was decided to reattatch the AX100DP to said system. Now the unit will not initialize using Navisphere. Any clues why ?

Does the Storage Initialization Wizard show the AX100? If the AX100 shows up, and everything is grayed out, the system is still initialized. To uninitialize the system, shut down the AX100 by pressing the power button. Once the system is off, press and hold the power button until the system turns on, plus hold the button one additional second. You will be able to run the Initialization Wizard and change IP address and username passwords.
If you run the Storage Initialization Wizard and it doesn't detect the AX100, then it is possible that the AX100's FLARE was upgraded and the Storage Initialization Wizard was not. You will need to download the lastest Storage Initialization Wizard from PowerLink or http://www.emc.com/dell-ax100support (to register on this site you will need to use the serial number located on the rear lip of chassis, it will start with FCNPRxxx or APM00xxx) One other requirement is the system running the Storage Initialization Wizard must be on the same physical subnet as the AX100.
