MD3260 - Status - Storage Array Needs Attention

Hello,

I am a novice user with this expansion unit. I just turned it on yesterday. I have no experience with her.

The unit displays this status - Storage Array Needs Attention

Probably some disk problem. But I have no idea what and I don't know how to find out.
Thanks in advance for the advice on how to proceed.

If they are not certified they are not going to be recognized. Is the upgrade option not under the hardware tab? Which version of MDSM are you using?

    Hi,

It is not a validated configuration.

https://dell.to/30Wz8dX and https://dell.to/3l8AdpB show how to configure it.

    Hello Nailen,

    Thank you for choosing Dell.

Bypassed Physical Disk means that physical disk was not recognized.

Do you have a data on disks?

The following actions could help to resolve an issue:

Perform the following steps to reinsert the physical disk:

a Remove the bypassed physical disk from the expansion enclosure.

b Wait at least 30 seconds.

c Reinsert the physical disk. Its fault indicator light may be light for a short time (one minute or less).

Click the Recheck button to rerun the Recovery Guru.

How to locate Physical Disk you can find here:

    https://dell.to/3oy8f7G p.64

I would like also to check logs. Could you, if possible, gather logs from MD3260 and send me them in Private Message?

    How to gather logs:

    https://dell.to/3owDxMo

Please ask me if you have any questions,

    Maria Januszka

    Hello Nailen,

Did you try to reinsert physical disk?

I hope logs can help us to isolate an issue.

    Hi Maria,

I tried inserting disks with the system turned off. I tried to insert them during operation. I tried discs of different brands. Still the same result.

    Best,

    Nailen
