According to the information on the Dell web site, the A920/A940 printers should be capable of borderless printing. I can not find out how to do this. The topic of margins/print area sizes is totally missing in the documentation. I can not find any way to set this in the printer driver. The largest print area I have been able to set using A4 paper (paper size 210 x 297 mm) is 203 x 283 mm.
Is the printer capable of borderless printing at all? And if so, how do I set it up?
As far as I know these printers do not print borderless photos, nor are the advertised to do so. I have looked through the manuals and online product information on the Sales web pages and found no indication that this printer will do this.
As a Norwegian living in Italy, I consulted Dell's web pages in both Norwegian and Italian before ordering my printer. Both pages specify borderless printing as a feature of these printers.
As the Dell Community Forum is a US web site, I have no information on products sold outside the US, what features they have or how they are advertised. The US versions of these printers are not advertised as supporting borderless printing but if it is advertised as such where you purchased the printer, I would advise contacting your local Dell technical support department for further information on what features are supported.
I was told by a technical service rep
this afternoon that the A920 WILL pront borderless photos. Now I see that Stephen says it will not?!? Does it or doesn't it print borderless photos? IF it doesn't, will any of the all-in-ones print borderless photos?
thanks for your answer. I have tried to send an email to Tech support in Italy (via the form on the web page), but as I click "submit" I get an error message. (No mail queue).
I sent a mail to Customer Service in Italy - it seemed to go through, but I have not received the automatic answer that I was supposed to get (reom the info on the web page). Probably this mail queue is a "dead end"...?
