Is it possible for the drum of a Dell 1700 printer to go with 3 months or so? I change it at the end of May and now it is telling me that the drum is bad.
The drum for a 1700 is rated for approximately 30,000 pages. If you print approximately 10,000 pages each month then, yes, it is time to replace your drum again due to it reaching its normal end of life. If you don't print that much then it could be a defective drum and you should be able to get it replaced under warranty.
