had a hp laser jet 4 for about as long as some of your forum members been around,(ha,ha). so my expectations for laser jet printer are very high.would like to get hp 1160 or 1632, but price limited my choses to buying internet, or a wholsale stores. i some what like dells replacement deal. oh my question! is dell printer 1700 in the same ball park as these two printers? i don't see much cosumer reports  on the 1700 model. i am a home user with a light to med duty cycle. can i use the  parlilel cable i used with my laser 4 printer with the 1700 dell printer if i buy this printer.
