Projector Display Cut Off

My Dell 2400MP Projector cuts off about an inch of the left side of my laptop screen.  Any ideas??

    Adjust the resolution settings on your laptop. You're probably displaying at a higher resolution on your laptop than your projector can take. That's usually the issue.
