I'll see if I can follow this up for you and get some answers. I am sure I have seen this request through other channels. Just not sure what the outcome was. See if I can find something out.

EDIT:
Of course we all know it's clearly not supported as per the ControlCenter 6.0 Support Matrix, where it's clearly stated. I've made a query to confirm if this will changed for feature ControlCenter releases (and hopefully at what release).

EDIT2:
It's apparently under consideration, however it looks as though it will require a bit of work to the agent itself. No ETA or version for which it will be included. So at this stage you'll need Solaris 8 or 9 nodes to run an FCC agent on.

Hi,

This is a major issue with ECC6, as many of the agents are not supported on Solaris10. Its not just the FCC, but also the SDM and Symm and possibly others.

I also find the agents run better on Unix than Win servers, and as most of my environment is Solaris10, and I am finding it difficult to find servers to run the required agents on.

Its not as if Solaris 10 is a newly released O/S version.

Please speak to your account team, if enough sites log Enhancement requests something may be done about this problem.

regards

V

Support for FCC Agent on Solaris 10 was added in patch 4135 (6.0.0.0.294); the latest FCC Agent patch is 4361 (6.0.0.0.529).

Marking this thread as answered.
