Were you able to fet the 4.3 update when it came out, or did you have to wait for the fix like I did?

Of course its working fine for me too with 4.4.2 but some of my friends got thier tab bricked 

But not all.  I have noticed no negative issues with the 4.4.2 update.  My venue 8 was one of the few that could not get the 4.3 update until dell released a fix.  So there are definately different versions of this tablet floating around.  Anybody else out there reporting good results ith 4.4.2?

No problems with 4.4.2 on my Venue 8.

Mine is fine as well (venue 8). Got the OTA upgrade to 4.3 and all was OK except it broke Bluetooth wireless keyboard functionality. 4.4.2 OTA went smoothly as well and fixed Bluetooth issue. So  I am happy. Is it true that the 4.4.2 OTA upgrade is no longer available from Dell? Are they working on a 4.4.3 release?

Terry B was kind enough to message me today (June 13):

"Currently the update for Kit Kat has been turned off.  I don't have an exact ETA when it will be enabled again but I expect it will be soon, possibly sometime next week. One way or the other I will know more Thursday."

Any update on this?

Just bought a Venue 7 and was hoping to get KitKat (4.4) on it soon.
