McAfee and reinstall problems
I reinstalled windows and my appliocations but for the life of me I cannot get McAfee virus protection up and running. I seem toi get a script error even after reinstalling from their site. What to do?

no longer get script error. I went to McAffee the second time. NOw although the icon is black, I believe the reason is that the other services are not operationsl while virus scan is OK. I use ALL programs menu and the McAffee sunmenu to get to Security Center and it shows virus scan working OK. I am not sure how to validate that it is correct, but suspect something with the icon and not the virus scan software itself. Black now seems to indicate that not all services installed are protecting the computer.renewedman
You are correct the icon is black either because some of the features are not enabled, such as Spamkiller, etc. Or it indicates that it needs to be updated.
