FWIW, I had heck of time trying to install this Reader update. I hadn't updated Reader in a while and had some "spare" time yesterday, which turned into hours wasted.

For starters, there was no "Check for updates" on the Reader Help menu (v22.3.20282.0).

Downloaded the new 32-bit file manually from Adobe site but it wouldn't install.
    Error: "Newer version already installed".
How can that be if the installed 32-bit version is from 2022?

Downloaded the 64-bit file but it wouldn't install.
Error: "Access to Registry Keys (4-digit #s)... denied".
Clicking 'ignore error" each time crashed the installer.

Ran Revo Uninstaller to remove 32-bit version.

New 32-bit download still wouldn't install, with same error about a newer version

New 64-bit version wouldn't install, with same Registry Key errors.

Ran ccleaner Registry tool and it found/removed a couple of Adobe things, but neither the 32- nor 64-bit file would install, each with its same errors.

Poked around on the net for a while and eventually found link to the Adobe Cleaner Tool.  Ran that and the log listed lots of things that were removed.

Rebooted and newly downloaded 32-bit file finally got installed.

Remind me never to update Reader again...
