device level
Just quick question
I just wanted to set DEVICE LEVEL alert based on written space in VMAX.
for example - If device ID 0EF5 has size of 100GB when it fills to 50GB (50%) of written space; then it should sent alert via email. Device created in thin pool as TDEV.
Is that possible..please let me know that settings in SMC or CLI?

tdev allocation and tdev usage alerts are available in SMC.

its under Task -> alerts
My SMC version is 7.3.1

it will too much for SMC to track if its allowed at device level. As Dynamox said, script it.

You can find the written percentage per device with command "symcfg list -tdev". The right most column shows the value you are after. With a little scripting you can have the alerts you are after.
