Pool for VNX 5100
Hello! I have new Storage VNX 5100 with 2 SAS HDD 200 Gb 10k and 25 SAS HDD 900 Gb 10k.
I worked with very closer storage and I know how used it, but I can't find best way how create storage pool with this set HDD.
Please help me, how I must create pool with very good characteristics for capacity and performance.

Hi,
I'll assume you mean 2 x 200GB Flash and 25 x 900GB 10k SAS ?
Are the Flash drives for FAST VP or FAST Cache ?
Things you'll need to consider;
-Overall space required
-Hot Spares
You'll need to exclude drives 0_0_0 : 0_0_3 as they are system/vault drives, and cannot be used in pools. (but you can create a RAID Group for low demand workloads).
So the simplest thing to do would be to create one pool with;
20 x 900Gb SAS 10k drives in a RAID 5 : 4 x (4+1). You'll end up with approximately 12TB of usable space (counting overheads).
For your Flash drives, depending on what type they are (eMLC or SLC) and what license you have for them will determine whether you can add them into the Pool or use as FAST Cache.
You'll then have the 4 drives for Vault and 1 SAS 10k 900GB that should be used as a hot-spare.

No, friend I don't have flash, I have 2 x 200 SAS 10k and 25 x 900 SAS 10k.

Hmm. there is no such drive ! Smallest 10k SAS is 300GB ?

If I do 2 Hotspare Disk 1x 300 Gb SAS 10k & 1x900 Gb SAS 10k.
And then I create 1 Pool (24x900 Gb SAS 10k+1x300 Gb SAS 10k) - it way will be true or not?

No, you need to keep the drives consistent in the tier in a Pool. IE, same size and speed.
Not sure why you would get 2 x 300GB drives, unless you have a particular failure/isolation domain requirement.
Without knowing all the details, I would create;
1 Pool with 20 x 900Gb SAS 10k drives in a RAID 5 : 4 x (4+1)
1 Pool/RG with 2 x 300GB SAS.
Not that many other sensible options with those disks.
