Power Cycling

My Vostro V7500 keeps power cycling although I'm not touching any keys.  I think this may be because the power button is stuck down but poking at it gently does not seem to free it off.

Could someone confirm if this diagnosis is right and what the best thing to do is?

    The part is this one

Though it's inexpensive, the labor to replace it will be at least an hour given that the entire system needs to be disassembled to access the part.

Hi, thanks very much for the reply.

I don't have the fingerprint button at the moment (or at least I don't think so as my partner uses the laptop too).  Can the fingerprint functionality be disabled?

If not, I guess you have to replace the whole keyboard?

The fingerprint sensor is separate from the keyboard. I replaced my Vostro 7500's keyboard yesterday, so I moved the old fingerprint key from the defective keyboard/palm-rest to the new one.
