Am I activated?

Hi, I was forced to reformat my system after it caught an uncontrollable virus. I re-installed Vista using the CD that came with the system at purchase. After installing, I am not being nagged about activating Windows, however, in System Properties it tells me that I have 15 days to activate. After running the WGA Diagnostic tool, here are my results:

Should I be worried about anything or let it go? Unfortunately, I have just noticed it and have about 10GB worth of data which I need.
Thanks in advanced.

If Windows is not asking you to Activate, I wouldn't worry about it. If you reinstalled using the Dell supplied DVD, activation is not required.

Your machine was validated by Dell before it was shipped to you.  Because you have reinstalled, you are still validated but the software on your machine doesn't know it yet.  What you need to do is visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ and press the validate button.  This will sync your system back up with what is already on record.

I have already done that - do I need to reboot as System properties now tells me that I have 3 days until automatic activation?

If you right click on my computer, doesn't it give the option at the bottom of the window to activate/validate?

You are going to have to re-activate. I've re-installed Vista 2 times with the Dell supplied DVD and both times I had to do it. Choose "Activate Windows Now" and select "Activate by Phone". Microsoft reps are there 24/7 and will take care of it. Follow the instruction on the screen and on the phone exactly during the activation and if needed you will be connected with Microsoft reps. Real simple.

It's automated activation over the phone and if it doesn't work you will be connected with a rep. You won't need to ask questions only answer them. Have a pen and paper handy. Just do it, it's simple and if you don't do it before the trial runs out your computer will go into reduced funtionality mode. Microsoft reps are always very helpful to me. Just let them do the talking.

Ok, Thanks. What sort of questions do they ask?

Thank you so much - I've always dreaded talking to the reps as I've hear stories that they're not erally understanding at times. Thanks once again.
