Capture Issues

Does anyone know how to get the movie maker working. I have a new Sony Mini DV Camcorder and can't get the WindowsMovie Maker to capture the video throug the 1394 IEEE firewire. I've also tried to get MGI VideoWave to capture and was unsuccessful.

Help???????

    Is it a driver problem?  Could you express what happens when you attempt to capture video?  Is it blurry? green bars? If you simply can not capture video because you do not have the driver installed you can get it as an update.
