Disable Bios

Can someone please help me disable my BIOS Memory such as caching or shadowing? I keep getting a blue screen stop error and it tells me to do this.  I have researched MS website for the information and was not able to do this.  The message from MS says that the error is caused by a device driver and to roll back the driver.  But I do not know which driver!  So I want to try to do what the blue screen said:  disable BIOS Memory such as caching or shadowing

Okay I do not have the ability to back everything up at the moment (will do it) so can you please tell me how to install the hardware drivers?  I am so clueless.  I appreciate anything you can do.  Thank you so much.

    dbely,

Dell BIOSes do not have caching or shadowing. You may be able to identify the driver causing the problem if you go to Start|Control Panel|System|Hardware tab|Device Manager. Look for any yellow or red "bangs" in Device Manager which would indicate a problem.

If none is there, you can reinstall your drivers. Instructions for this can be found if you go to Desktops or Notebooks above the forum, select your computer model and then click the Software Reinstall link in the left column. If you don't have a Resource CD you can download any drivers for your system by clicking the "Drivers and downloads" link at the top of the opening page.
