folder arranging in 'My Computer' has changed

When opening Program Files, WINDOWS, and I386...my tile view subfolders are suddenly displaying in one long vertical column instead of the previous side by side vertical columns.  Since I prefer them arranged by name I must scroll much farther down to reach some folders.  What can I do to get Windows to display them as they were?  I've tried unsuccessfully to force them back by checking auto arrange etc.  I had this issue once before but don't recall if I fixed it or if Windows re-arranged them back into side by side folder columns.

Got to Taskbar, right click & select Properties, Start Menu, customize, Advanced, find Scroll Programs in Start menu items and uncheck it.

Try clicking on "View> list, and Arrange icons by>  name".

    Try this:

Move your mouse cursor to the right-hand border of the "program files" window until it turns into a double-arrow. Then hold down a left-click, and drag the border to the right until you see the number of columns you wish.

Thanks, but that didn't achieve anything.  I prefer tile view yet the tiles line up in one long vertical list in 'My Programs', WINDOWS, and I386 whereas they appeared in a double column before.  That's want I want to restore, the double column.

Go to "View", "Tiles."  That gives two side by side columns.

RESOLVED!  Restarting in safe mode and back to normal Windows restored the default folder window display with icon auto arrange checked.  Thanks for your posts.
