I have the free version of Lavasoft's Ad-Aware 2007 program and have recently been trying to contact their Support Forums (through their web page) without success. The web page address is lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?. I have tried to contact them by e-mail as well without success.
My problem is in trying to send or reply to a message on their web page.. I cannot find where you click or where it shows "Send Message".
Could you please help me with this? I've never had this problem before; there's always been a place to click to send a message as far as I know. Perhaps it is missing all of a sudden and I will have to uninstall and re-install.
I have a Dell Dimension 4100 Desktop computer with Windows XP operating system - Home Edition - Service Pack 2, Pentium 111 processor with 930 MHZ, 20 GB Hard Drive and 512 MB of memory. The file system is FAT 32.
Lavasoft's support forum is supposedly free to access/post in for users of AAW 2007 Free: www.lavasoftsupport.com
It is the Support Center at www.lavasoft.com that is only available to paying customers.
That said, AAW's support forums are down for me also tonight. This has been a frequent occurrence over many years. At one time Lavasoft arbitrarily killed the forum without explanation or notice for about a year! Obviously Lavasoft's commitment to non-paying users is very casual. I say this as a user of AAW free for many years.
Just oneof many reasons I dumped AAW for good last year.
MBAM and SAS really are much better programs, with support foums one can trust.
I am not sure but I believe they require a paid version now to use their support forum and other online help. But you still have the HELP file provide by the program itself.
If Lavasoft is requiring a paid version in order to post on their community forum which
was their means of finding out about issues that users of the free version of Ad-aware were experiencing, I suggest uninstalling Ad-aware and using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware or Super Anti-Spyware. Both have free versions and have forums where users can get help.
It used to be that there was no email support for the free version, but issues could be handled on the forums. The site is down today, so I cannot check to see if that policy has changed.
