Outlet Express

My outlet express and internet explorer both say "not responding" most of the time.  What could be wrong?  Supedo@gls3c.com

Sounds like connection problems. What type of internet connection do you have?

Thanks Osprey4.  My service is gls3c.com.  I wonder if it is the connection as sometimed I can get my e-mail (like today) and other times it doesn't respond.  Should I send the computer back to the manufacturer?  Tried to call but they were busy.  I'll try again.  Thanks,  Supedo

As osprey suggested, you have a connection problem.  You should contact your ISP, (Internet provider.)  If that is not the problem, there are three other major reasons for your trouble.

    1. Malfunction of your internet browser or incorrect settings
    2. Your firewall is not set to allow a connection
    3. A virus infection

Without more information from you it is impossible to offer more help.

supedo,  I suggested you call your internet provider on a previous post.  I assume you have dialup service.  Telephone lines can be tempermental.  All computers on your connection will have this problem.  There is probably nothing wrong with your computer.  If you can connect a friend's computer to your connection you can, at least, eliminate the computer as a cause.   When you have called your provider,  scanned for viruses, defragmented your hard drive, emptied your Windows temporary folder and internet temporary folder, write back.  You have not provided information needed to help.  What kind of connection? What browser?  Your machine and operating system?  Are there any error messages?  What do they say?  Is this a new problem?

    Osprey4......
Thanks for your recommendation.  I called Dell Technicians and they talked me through my problem.  So far all is working right.  Supedo
