PC Restore vs Ghost 10

I wish to know if it is safe to uninstall norton ghost to regain the 18.6gb of space that it is using for it's partition without affecting the PC restore functionality or anything else.
Are there any issues that I should be aware of concerning this ?

If you uninstall Norton's Ghost v. 10,   YOU WILL NOT be able to use your RAID 1 Restore program to recover your remaining working hard drive  with the Dell DataSafe. (Ghost is not a Back-up program but a mirrored copy of your drive) You should still be able to reinstall and return your computer to it's factory new delivery condition by using the Windows XP recovery CD ROM if you have one. The Dell recover utility is located and hidden on the "D" partition and if you do not delete or change the partition it will work with with the CD ROM only! I would NOT uninstall Ghost ...Hope this helps ...

A trial version of Ghost is being included on at least some new systems without Dell DataSafe or RAID, so the details, and any potential impact, vary. There simply isn't enough information here to go on.
