Thank you for the suggestion, but I already did that, and now, I am having Security Alert windows popping up constantly again. The latest Security Alert is: Intrusion: MS _RPC_DCOM_Heap_BO. Intruder: 4.239.93.114 (3237). All the alerts are rated "high risk". Do these mean anything to you? Also, when I try access my home page or other e-mail account, I receive a message: "Server Busy" "This action cannot be completed, because the other program is busy. Choose "switch to" to activate the busy program, and correct the problem. Most of the time, I get no change after clicking "switch to" doesn't always work; I get frustrated, and try to open Ourlook Express. Usually this works, and I can transfer e-mail from my other account to Outlook Express. I receive several different error messages since downloading and installing SP2. I just got rid of a Gateway lemon that I spent a fortune for. I bought this Dell a few months ago, and now it's messed up. I would just like to uninstall SP2, but I don't know how to work with the registry, and if I encounter problems, I won't know what to do. Anyway, thank you very much for your suggestion. Thank You!!!
You could have a trojan or other bad stuff but it may just be Windows.
Do you have a Canon prnter ?
Use any non-standard (MS) software ?
Did you change your homepage (eg to http://www.yahoo.com/) and try ?
Use msconfig/startups to disable all startup programs. ? (Make sure you're offline for all this.)

Copy and install this program and try to run it (for trojans). Try Safe Mode. Run AdAware and Spybot as well.
I'd have to go along with the trojan/spyware theory. I'm running 5 PCs at home with XP SP2. On four of them, I downloaded and installed SP2. The fifth one is running the latest release of XP which included SP2. I have Norton Internet Security 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 as well as AVG with Zone Alarm. In addition, I am still using the firewall included in XP. There have been no hiccups, BSOD or any other issues since installing SP2.

I had the same problems on SP2 with my internet connections.Try shutting down all XP firewalls and virus checker as long as you have another one to guard you and also make sure you switch off XP firewall service. I did that and it seemed to solve the problems anyway hope that helps.
