PROCESS_HAS_LOCKED_PAGES

It cannot be that I am the only person with this problem in this forum. There are hundreds of people in Internet with this problem and here is no one complaining?

If you have Vista (especially 64Bit) and exit an OpenGL game (like Bioshock) into Windows you get a blue screen of Death.

PROCESS_HAS_LOCKED_PAGES

I can reproduce this problem anytime.  Due my research it is a Creative Labs Driver problem.  Since our Xi-Fi Cards are locked and we are stuck with Dell drivers, it is Dells responsibility to provide us with a proper driver.

Anyone has any comment on this?

UPDATE (Havent tried that yet):

Houman

You sure it is a Creative driver issue, other things can cause this error

    example

Did you do the registry modification mentioned in this article,

"After you make this change, Windows saves stack traces so that you can identify the problem driver. There is no other way to determine which driver is neglecting to clean up the I/O operations."

Now the bsod will list the offending driver, give it a try.

    Hello,

Yes I have tried that. The culprit is CTOSS2K.SYS. It is definitely a creative labs problem.

I don't understand why the XPS community is so quiet on this mattter. In Internet there is a lot of complaints going around this regarding.

Am I the only XPS 720 (or even 710) owner who runs Vista 64 bit and wants to play OpenGL games?

Creative labs support was very fast in helping and responding to my emails. They made some good suggestions like putting the sound card in a different slot, so that the SB and video adapter don't share the same resources due teh conflict. But it didn't help.  Then they asked me for a serial number in order to help me further. As soon as they realized its a OEM card, they refued to help further.

And Dell? Dell doesn't even replay to my support request since 4 days. This money greedy %^£%*$£.

Spending thousands in this "high-end" rig and here you go.  Not even a basic driver is working fine.  I am very upset!!!!!

Try a post on the XPS desktop board

Be sure to list what you have tried and what driver is installed.

    Hi,

Thanks for reply. I had originally postet this on XPS Desktop forum. But the moderator has moved it to this forum.

Can a moderator please move this back to XPS 720 Desktop?  This is not a Vista Issue.

    Thanks
    Houman
