    Hi

Question - Where can I get the Windows CD?

Answer - Email or Chat with Dell. Explain your situation and the Dell representative should issue you the Windows CD.

I see, what you did was a PCRestore using Ctrl+F11, didn't you?

Not sure... Do you have SP1 or SP2?

Wait, we go from installing a mouse/keyboard to talking about SP1 or SP2.  Ignore the warning on the install and proceed.

I cant proceed. Once I get the warning the cursor disappears & I cant press nothing. Has anyone here installed it before with out the cd?

OK, what you have to do is turn on the computer, when you see the Dell Screen, press immediately the Ctrl+F11 this will prompt you to PCRestore by Symantec

In there you'll get the options to restart or to Restore, the one you need. Click on Restore, and that's it... That's how you reinstall Windows on a Dell computer without the CD... This will let your computer as factory settings, and you'll lose all your data (documments, pics, music) so be aware of that.

And SP1 & SP2 are for the Service Pack 1 & 2, important Windows Updates...
