Everytime I boot up I get this error message that says:
RUNDLL
"Error Loading C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2.DLL"
"The specified module could not be found."
How can I stop this from happening? I've tried to find something associated with this file in my computer but can't. Why is it trying to locate this module? I'm assuming that this was attached to some spam mail and was automatically inserted into my start-up commands but I don't know how to find my start up commands. I'm still getting used to Windows XP. With older versions of windows I'd go to the MS Dos prompt and edit my autoexec.bat file. Guess those days are gone.
If you have the newdotnet parasite on your computer, you likely have lots of other spyware/malware/parasites on your computer. See the message at the top of the Virus Information and Removal forum by Chris RLG:
and download, install, update, and run the first 3 programs listed there. If you continue to have problems, follow the other directions in Chris's message.
