I have the same problem...cannot log onto AOL.  The sign on screen comes up  but then an error window appears on top of it.  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.  Program:C:\Program Files\ AOL 9.0\waol.exe    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the application's support team for more information.  I did maintainence, uninstalled and reinstalled from an old and then a new disk from AOL, worked with Techs from AOL.  restarted my computer many times, (E510 Dell Dimension XPMedia Center) and back to the same error message.  I have been reading the posted messages.  Was the problem ever solved?  Is going  back to 8.0 the answer?  Thanks in advance for your help, I learn a great deal just by reading what you all send.
