Turn off Auto Updates? Hardly the best option. Always download the updates, but change the option to let you choose what to install.
SP1 shold be available to the masses in about 10 days. It is pretty nice to see the improved performance.

Unless getting a big hole, why not once a month go the MS site and select only the one(s) we need ? Using this way you can update more than one machine, saving downloading quota.

Look at where I am posting from. You think you have an ISP quota? Try sharing a 2mb connection with 10 other people for which we pay in excess of $1100/month for. Our exception is we have no limitations, the faster connections are limited to a specific download time and run the risk of being throttled back.
I haven't been on a real high speed connection in so long I can't remember the real world or the internet.

This is my second try - the first one did not go to anywhere due to "Site Maintenance". Please bear in mind: a lot of countries do not have that such luxury - They have to pay ISP's for a quota which may vary from 500Mb/month ( please don't laugh) to 60Gb/month over that limit users have to be shaped or pay $$$ for Mb over that limit.

I've got one of the following plans. My employer pays 75% of the cost that means I can affort a higher quota but a lot have to stay at a lower quota.

Mid March is the expected release on Windows Update.
You might want to turn off automatic updates now and have it just inform you that updates are ready. That way you will be able to control the installation.
