unsuccessful restore
I have several restore points that I have made plus the restore points that the system has made on it's own. However no matter which point I choose to restore to it always comes back as unsuccessful and no changes made? What could be going on I really need to use this feature but so far it has been useful only one time and now won't restore any of my points. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Russ

The system restore points are sequential, i.e. they only save info about what changed from the last one. So if one is broken, none prior to the broken one will work. So probably in your situation, you would need to delete them and start a new series of points afresh, once your system is OK.
Why do you need to restore? Maybe there is some other way to solve the problem that caused you to try.

Hi there rruuss,
Have you checked to see how much disc space has been allocated to system restore ?
If not ....- click 'start'
- click 'control panel'
- click 'performance and maintenance'
- click the 'system' icon
- click the 'system restore' tab
- move the slider to suit your needs
- click 'apply'
- click 'ok'
- have a beer
