Welcome Screen Windows XP

There are 4 users on my computer and usually at startup we would get the welcome screen that lists the 4 users and we would log on (without passwords). SOmething happened recently where now  after startup we do not get that welcome screen with all the users, we end up automatically logged in to my husbands account with his desktop.
How do I set it so that after start up the welcome screen with all the users is there?  I hope it does not involve going into the user accounts in the control pannel cause for sometime I have not been able to access the user accounts in the control panel. When I click on it it does nothing. I posted this problem a few weeks ago, was given some suggestions but nothing worked.
Any ideas??

    User Accounts in Control Panel has a Change the way users log on and off which then has a checkbox for that Welcome.

    Of course, you didn't really want to hear that. :smileywink:

    Try starting the computer in Safe Mode (F8 keypress at after power up time but before Windows begins) and clicking the Administrator icon, then go into Control Panel and User Accounts and do the above.

    See if undoing the standard procedure for getting a system to boot directly to a user's desktop corrects the problem.

    Go to Start|Run, enter control userpasswords2 and click OK. On the screen that opens check "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer." That should restore your Welcome screen.

    Thanks for the reply Denny. The thing is that before we used to get that log on screen with everyones name but we did not have to use a password to get into our individual desktops. I will try what you said when I get home but I don't want for each of us to use  a password to get to their desktop. I'll see what happens when I try that at home.\

    Thanks for the reply. I have tried using safe mode but I still can not get to the user accounts in the control panel. I click on the icon and nothing happens. It is so frustrating, I don't know why I can't get to it.
