after inserting the Windows 7 Upgrade Assistant DVD,it begin the system check but suddenly a error pop out and i cant figure out what happen......please help.....
I have reported this information from other threads that people are receiving this error with the Upgrade Assistant. What exactly does the error read? I cannot make it out. What system is this on and are you upgrading to the 32 or 64 bit Windows 7?
i don't know what the system is on but let me copy the whole details for you...
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.
************** Exception Text ************** System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Win7_Upgrade.PreInstall_Update.checkAppUpdates(String phase, Upgrade_info upgradeInfo, Boolean copyFile) at Win7_Upgrade.PreInstall_Update.start_update() at Win7_Upgrade.Wizard.scanSystem() at Win7_Upgrade.Wizard.Wizard_Activated(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnActivated(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.set_Active(Boolean value) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmActivate(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at Win7_Upgrade.Wizard.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled.
For example:
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box.
And I m upgrading to the 32 bit windows 7 home premium.
