Hi Everyone,

I have a new Precision 1650 and I have been trying to install Microsoft updates KB971033 as well as the IE 10 update and they both constantly fail.  When I installed KB971033 manually my PC blue screened and then restarted and uninstalled the update.  How do I get these updates to install or are they even necessary?  I ran CheckSUR and the log shows the output below.  How can I fix these corruption issues and is this the reason that I cannot install those updates?  Even running the MIcrosoft FixIT tool will attempt to repair the issue but when the PC reboots and the installation process begins it says it fails and reverts back to before the repair.  This whole issue stemmed from trying to install iTunes 11 on this new PC and getting the error:

"An error occurred during the installation of assembly'Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type="win32", version="8.0.50727.6195",publickeytoken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture="x86".  Please refer to Help and Support for more info. HResult:0x80073712. 

I know this is the Microsoft forum so I do not expect an answer on the iTunes issue but if anyone has a solution or has seen it before any help would be appreciated.  Thank you all for all your help!
