Battery upgrade
I bought XPS 15 9500 base model with 56WHr, 3-cell lithium ion. I am planning to replace the battery because it has already ended the end of its life. Is it possible to upgrade to 6-cell, 86WHr battery? They both share the same dimension as per the tech specs.
Relevant to this question, is it okay to trust aftermarket products (such as buying 69KF2 from other manufacturers)?

If you don't have a 2.5" drive in the system, you can install the larger battery without problems. If you do, you'll need to remove the 2.5" SATA drive -- it won't fit alongside the larger battery.
Non-OEM batteries are as good as the seller/manufacturer's reputation -- some are quite good, while others are abject junk. Carefully evaluate reliable reviews of any supplier you're considering buying from.
