Ionic Cooling

When can I expect ionic cooling computers to be able to purchased by a consumer like myself?

    Sooner on ultra low power devices such as tablets and 2-in-1s.

     

    Much later if ever on a standard issue CPU or a midrange or higher system -- likely never on a gaming system or notebook.

     

    These have advantages (silence and cleanliness) but also disadvantages (they move far less air than a fan does so they cannot handle higher capability CPUs and GPUs).

    @ejn63​ Do you think in the future, there would be something that moves air more, while still being quiet enough.

     

    Also, is there such thing as a fan that sound nice. 

     

    Are ionic cooling better at cooling a laptop than a computer that is in a tower shaped and is heavier than a laptop.

     

    I heard of ionic cooling from Linus Tech Tips channel on Youtube.

     

    Edited: I also wonder how many ionic coolers are need to be equal to the fans' CFM.

    @Questionair​ Note to self:

    I have learned I can't delete comment in maybe in 20 minutes. 

     

    Also, a small form factor would make be better the third sentence of the comment I made before.
