The future of displays
A few facts about the next generation of displays according to IDC research:
USB-C is on the increase:
By 2022, USB-C will be embedded in 69.3% of all commercial desktops and 82.6% of all commercial notebooks, reducing cable clutter and create seamless experiences.
Offices are shrinking, collaboration is increasing
Due to the rapid growth in hotdesking and coworking spaces, businesses need to consider displays with form factors and sizes that cater to both space constraints, flexibility and modern design requirements.
Augmented and Virtual Reality will be everywhere
Enterprises require larger monitors to create and display content, while also allowing multiple users to view and edit the AR/VR content concurrently.
A design renaissance
Monitor designs from ultrathin to ergonomic base consider the needs of today’s workers and offer better viewing experiences. Curved and ultra-narrow bezels provide a sleek and clean line of view, facilitate streamlined views for multi-monitor set-ups and meet aesthetic requirements.
Case study
A modern workplace for a modern workforce
A few facts about the next generation of displays according to Forrester research:
Dell commissioned Forrester Consulting to interview one customer from the global financial services industry and examine the potential return on investment enterprises may realize by deploying Dell’s UltraSharp monitors.
In an effort to modernize the organization’s new headquarters office, retain talent, and improve productivity, the customer replaced the four 19-inch monitor of each equity trader with two UltraSharp 34-inch curved monitors. For all other staff, the customer replaced two 19-inch monitors with UltraSharp 27' QHD monitors. The payback period was less than 6 months, and the business impacts were clear.
We were moving headquarters away from the city center, and we needed to make the new office sexy —people have to want to work there for the amenities and perks, which included 27-inch and 34-inch screens.
