Obtaining a replacement key for my Dell™ PowerEdge™ server or PowerVault™ Storage device that has a factory installed lock.

Contact Dell: refer to the online form link below.

There should be a number on the face of the lock that starts with DLxx.  Where xx represents two digits. You will need to provide the lock number, some additional information and the Service Tag. The Service Tag is a 5 or 7 character alphanumeric code printed on a barcode on the back of the server. It may also be listed as the serial number. For more information about locating the service tag, refer to the links in the Additional Items section below in this document.

Please include the following information when contacting Dell:

  • Service Tag
  • Lock number
  • Customer number
  • Order number
  • Name of contact person
  • Phone # of contact person
  • Business name
  • Business address (including building number or suite number)
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code
