How to add a platform bundle. To a repository using Dell EMC Repository Manager version 3. After opening Repository Manager. Just simply select the repository that you want to add a platform bundle to, and we're gonna add it to Data Center 2, and I'll just open it up so you can see what's already inside. Which is 620, 630, and a 640 and a 740XD.
So we've recently purchased our 940s for our Data Center, so I want to add the R940 to my repository. So it's very simple to come up and just select Add Bundles. And let's manually add a bundle, and then it's just like doing a manual repository creation. Where you select your systems. By starting with selecting your line of business. And coming down. And finding the R940. And you'll see that it gets moved over to your selected systems, and you can add additional ones if you want to.
Select save, select your operating systems. Which case we're Windows 2012. So we'll select 64-bit and come down and select the Windows 2012 R2. And of course, you can add additional, and you can also add Linux if you want to. Select save and select your components. We obviously want to have firmware, BIOS, and drivers. And we have networking cards. And we know that we have SAS RAID inside of our environment.
We obviously want to keep track of RAID, and BIOS, and we have SAS drives. And then we hit save. And then we hide out, and if we come back in and look. You'll see that the R940 has now been added to this repository. You'll also may have noticed that the version number changed to 1.02 of this repository. Now, notice that we've got the R940 here. If for some reason, we made a mistake and we really didn't mean to do that.
We could either delete that bundle. Or we could come back to the previous version of the repository. Select OK. And if you look at it. Voila, the R940 is no longer there. And, of course, you can always come back and go to the most recent version or any version of the repository. And select it, and you'll see that there's the R940. So there you have an easy way to. to add platform bundles to an existing repository using Dell EMC Repository Manager.
