In this video, we show how to replace a sidewall bracket on a PowerEdge R7725XD. Before working inside the system, read through and follow the safety guidelines to protect the system from potential damage and ensure your personal safety. To remove a sidewall bracket, first disconnect any cables that are going through the sidewall bracket to the system board. Okay, those disconnected. Open up the sidewall bracket and then unroute the cables from the sidewall bracket. Move those out of the way. With the cables out of the way, pushed down on the middle retention clip. Slide up a little bit and then towards the center and remove.
To install a sidewall bracket, align it with posts on the side of the system and push down to click it into place. Then open up the bracket to then rerun your cables through the bracket and through the side cable channels. And then reconnect them to the system board.
